Want to Volunteer Abroad in Summer 2025 ? There’s still time!

Summer is finally here, and our staff are soaking up the sun, but it got us thinking: where should teen volunteers go if you’re looking to book now?

It might feel like it’s too late to book, but we promise that it’s not. This is your sign to have an incredible international experience before returning to school or college!

We have several projects running all summer, but to give you (and us) time to prepare, here are a few of our suggestions kicking off in August.

Peru - Care and Community

Starting 3 August 2025

The place:

Experience life in Cusco, the ancient capital city of the Inca Empire and the ‘cultural capital’ of Peru. You’ll gaze at the impressive Andes Mountains and visit Machu Picchu, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

The project:

Live and work in the local community, helping care for and teach children through fun games and lessons. You’ll stay with a host family, fully immersed in the local culture, with other travellers your age, giving you the chance to improve your Spanish.

The reason:

This project is perfect if you’re looking for an exciting cultural experience away from home where you can work and laugh with children. It’s even better if you’re looking to learn or improve your Spanish!

The Philippines - Medicine internship

Starting 3 August 2025

The place:

Travel to the wonderful Philippines and kickstart your medical career in a seaside city on the stunning Cebu Island. Live and work in either San Remigio or Bogo City, both with sun-kissed beaches, excellent weather, and modern conveniences.

The project:

Your chance to get real-world medical experience, observing doctors and nurses in local hospitals and health clinics. Join them as they complete their daily rounds or support their awareness and outreach work, providing information and basic healthcare to areas lacking healthcare access.

The reason:

Find out whether medicine is the right field for you and get the experience you need to stand out when you apply to medical school or university. Work in various departments, gain an insight into international healthcare, and enjoy a cultural experience in this stunning archipelago.

Ghana - Care and Community

Starting 10 August 2025

The place:

Ghana is known for incredible hospitality and friendliness with some of the nicest people you will ever meet. You’ll travel to the scenic Akuapem Hills, becoming deeply involved with the local community and living with a host family for full cultural immersion.

The project:

Work at local schools and support teachers by playing educational games, running artistic activities, and supporting children's learning. You’ll also work to organise sports events, improve learning environments, and increase environmental knowledge and awareness.

The reason:

Experience a new culture in a safe and supported environment along with other teenagers from around the world. Find out if working with children is something that interests you for the future, and gain a deeper understanding of our planet and its people.

Mongolia - Medicine Internship

Starting 10 August 2025

The place:

The “Land of the eternal blue sky,” Mongolia, is a fascinating country where a third of the population still lives as nomads. With a culture influenced by this way of life, China to the south, and Russia to the north, you will experience something totally new and meet some incredible people.

The project:

Start your medical career off in style, working in hospitals alongside experienced doctors and nurses in the capital city, Ulaanbaatar. Shadow their daily rounds, learn crucial medical skills, and support community outreach programmes.

The reason:

This is the perfect project to find out whether medicine is truly the career for you, giving you exposure to work in a real hospital setting. You’ll enjoy a journey of self-discovery and cultural immersion, developing both your personal and professional skills. If you’re thinking of studying medicine in the future, this experience will help you stand out!

BONUS: Botswana - Conservation

Starting 20 July 2025

Book by 31st May and save £250!

Ok, we’re breaking the rule a little bit here, but we have an exciting offer for our conservation project kicking off on 20 July in Botswana. If you book your place by 31 May 2025, you will save yourself £250 on the total cost!

The place:

Botswana, in southern Africa, is home to the world’s largest population of elephants and is a biodiversity hotspot. You’ll work in our dedicated conservation reserve in the Tuli Block, along the banks of the mighty Limpopo River, where the elephants will likely wander through camp!

The project:

Are you interested in working with animals? Fascinated by the incredible wildlife of Africa? Here, you’ll contribute towards the vital conservation efforts of local elephant and bird populations, monitoring their behaviour, taking part in anti-poaching patrols, and constructing waterholes.

The reason:

This project is the perfect digital detox, disconnecting you from the modern world as you live deep in the wilderness. You’ll gain real-world conservation experience and get up close and personal with some of the planet’s most majestic creatures. You’ll see elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and much more. It’s an animal lover’s dream!
