Volunteer In Latin America And The Caribbean

Volunteer in Latin America and the Caribbean and support local people while exploring local cultures

Volunteer in Latin America and the Caribbean with Projects Abroad. We offer many different placements across several countries, so you’re sure to find a project that suits you. Whichever project you choose, you’ll become part of ongoing efforts to support a need we’ve identified.

You can get involved in vital conservation efforts, from rescuing baby sea turtles to protecting the Belize Barrier Reef. For those who enjoy working with children, you can support their educational development while teaching them new skills. You can also volunteer in South America and help to discover ancient artefacts at an Archaeology Project in Peru.

These are just some of our incredible volunteer opportunities in Latin America. We take care of all your project details, so all you have to focus on is the valuable work you do at your placement. Our staff are also available 24/7 to help you if you need it, and ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Where we are based in Latin America and the Caribbean

Currently, we run a range of projects in many countries across Latin America and the Caribbean. In most of the countries, you can support children’s education and work in local disadvantaged schools. Then, we also have projects that work towards solving a need that is unique to a country.

In Mexico, you can help to protect endangered sea turtles and take part in wildlife research. Or, spend time in the stunning Galapagos Islands in Ecuador, helping to preserve unique wildlife species. You can also learn more about preserving forests and cave ecosystems in Costa Rica.

Meanwhile, in the Caribbean, you can volunteer in Belize or Jamaica. In Jamaica, many communities lack proper sanitation, so we build toilets. In Belize, you can take part in conservation activities surrounding the Belize Barrier Reef or focus on public health issues.

There are also many volunteer opportunities in South America. Participate in excavations and uncover ancient Incan and Wari ruins in Peru, or help raise awareness of human rights in Argentina.

Whatever you choose to do, you can be sure that you’ll become part of ongoing efforts to make a tangible difference in local communities.
