How does it work?
Ready to start your overseas elective adventure? Here are some things to bear in mind:
- Projects Abroad is an approved placement provider for Nursing & Midwifery students from the University of Nottingham
- Midwifery students must join for a a minimum 2-week elective placement
- Nursing students must join for a minimum 4-week elective placement
- You must complete the elective placement any time between the first week of August and the second week of September
- You will receive a special £150 discount from the website prices for the elective placement. This discount will be added to your invoice after registration.

Our pre-departure staff is happy to help if you want to add travel insurance coverage as well as visa advice. For flights, we work with STFly as our partner travel agent who can assist with getting flight quotes if you need assistance. Whatever support you need, we're with you every step of the way.

How do I apply?
Once you have received approval to join us for an overseas elective, you’ll be able to apply online here. You'll need to pay a £195 deposit to confirm your place on a trip too. You’ll then have until two months before your departure date to pay the final balance.
