Radio Journalism Placement in Argentina with Projects Abroad
Volunteers participating on a Journalism project in Argentina work at a community radio station. You can become involved in a variety of different areas depending on your interests; such as interviewing and attending events.
The radio station is geared towards tourists and the local community; however, currently it is only run in Spanish. Volunteers would be introduced to the heritage of the region by covering local stories of interest.
Volunteers will receive guidance from their supervisor at the placement. Our staff at the Projects Abroad office, located in Cordoba, will also be available to offer additional support, should you need it.
Your Role as a Journalism Volunteer in Argentina
Working alongside small teams of local journalists, you will be given a range of responsibilities; everything from researching stories and interviewing people to editing or commenting on air. You can also learn about, and get involved in various aspects of producing a radio show.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with all aspects of developing a radio station, whilst experiencing life in this stunning and traditional Argentinean setting.
Volunteers will need intermediate Spanish to make the most of this project.
This placement is fully researched, safety audited and risk assessed in accordance with the British Standard BS8848 for the Adventure Travel Sector.
