Join three exciting Culture & Adventure projects in Japan, Cambodia, and Tanzania. Travel with others your age and go right into the heart of local communities. See the unmissable tourist spots, explore areas of natural beauty, and enjoy interesting cultural workshops.
For over 50s:
Join an exclusive Khmer Cultural Project to get a deep insight into Cambodian culture and history. Learn the art of puppet making, enjoy a traditional Khmer cooking class, and discover the brutal history of the Khmer Rouge regime.
For anyone in between:
You could join a dedicated culture exchange project, like our nomad immersion project in Mongolia or community volunteer work in Fiji, which put you right into the heart of traditional communities.
Alternatively, you could join a language immersion project in Latin America and learn Spanish through both carefully crafted lessons and interaction with the local community.
You don’t need any specific requirements to join our cultural exchange programmes, and we will provide comprehensive support before and during your adventure.
What will I learn through cultural immersion?
Cultural immersion experience is ideal for broadening your perspective of the world. You’ll return home with a renewed outlook on life and a richer knowledge of people and places you might never have heard of before your trip.
It’s also a great opportunity to visit places you have heard of, and want to visit, plus you can learn new skills, pick up a language, and discover a new passion. For example, international travel is great for building confidence, independence, and adaptability.
Working within different communities will help hone valuable skills like cross-cultural communication , including how and why people live differently to you. Learning to adapt to a different culture will stand you in good stead for furthering your education and career.

Why should I pay for cultural exchange?
Paying for cultural exchange allows us to organise everything on your behalf, giving you an experience that is safe, rewarding, and impactful. You’ll get three meals a day, your accommodation, domestic transportation, and 24/7 support from our staff.
The fee gives us the resources we need to organise cultural workshops and reinvest in the communities you’ll live with.
Our pricing varies between projects and will depend on how long you want to go for. If you are a teenager, the price will also include social activities and excursions.
The best bit? You can take advantage of our flexible payment plans. We understand that paying in one go isn’t always possible. That's why we just ask for an initial deposit. Then, you can pay as much or as little as you like in a series of small instalments.
We’re completely flexible, but the full fee does need to be paid in full before you leave for your project.
