Learn Arabic in Morocco
Morocco is a safe and moderate North African country that offers a fascinating first taste of the African continent. It also gives you the ideal opportunity to learn more about Arabic and the Islamic world.
While taking part in the Arabic Language Project you’ll be living in Rabat, an ancient but cosmopolitan city on the Atlantic coast of Morocco. Rabat is the political and business capital of the country. Arabic is the official language of Morocco, and is therefore widely spoken
The Arabic classes are run by a qualified language tutor with the pace carefully tailored to suit your needs. Depending on when you arrive you may have the classes alone with the teacher or be in a small group with two or three other volunteers. You will be living with an Arabic-speaking Moroccan host family, who will encourage you to practise the language at home, while you experience their culture, community and customs.
There are two options when it comes to learning Arabic in Morocco. You can take part in an intensive course, where you will receive 15 hours of tuition each week. After completing your Language Course you could then choose to volunteer on one of our Morocco volunteer projects, such as Teaching or Care, and put your newly acquired language skills to use in a practical working environment.
Alternatively you can undertake a short 5-hour, 14-hour, or 30-hour add-on course in Arabic that is scheduled alongside your regular volunteer project. These prices are in addition to your main project price. Please take a look at our Morocco language prices for more information.
