Physiotherapy in Nepal

This High School Special programme is designed to give you an unparalleled overview of physiotherapy in Nepal. Based in the beautiful city of Chitwan and close to one of Nepal's national parks, volunteers will spend time in the Physiotherapy Department of the large local hospital and in a local centre for the disabled. These are always inspiring placements thanks to the fantastic work that goes on there.

You will stay in a hotel close to the areas where you are working and will participate in evening activities planned by our local staff.

At the weekend there will either be a trip to the central markets and local temples, or a trip to the huge and beautiful nature reserve of Chitwan national park.

This placement is fully researched, safety audited and risk assessed in accordance with the British Standard BS8848 for the Adventure Travel Sector.

Every year, thousands of High School Special volunteers actively make a difference around the world. During their time abroad, they contribute towards achieving long-term goals and make a long-lasting positive impact on the communities where they work. If you want to know more about their achievements, read our 2016 High School Specials Impact Report.
