Short-term Projects for 16-19 Year Olds
- Placement location: Ulaanbaatar
- Types of placements: Orphanage, Care Centre
- Accommodation: Guest House/Hotel
- Age Requirements: 16-19 years old
For two weeks volunteers on the Short-term Special Care project will have the chance to improve the conditions for children in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
While working in one of the local orphanages or care centres, your time will be spent performing practical activities with children and teenagers aged from 2 to 15 years old. During the day you will teach English and play games and sports with the children. You will also help the younger children with general care work.
Over the weekend, you will be taken to Terelj National Park where you will be able to see wild horses and ride a camel. The sights are remarkable! You will also get to experience a traditional Mongolian barbecue, which is a great time to socialise with the other volunteers and local staff.
This placement is fully researched, safety audited and risk assessed in accordance with the British Standard BS8848 for the Adventure Travel Sector.
Every year, thousands of Short-term Special volunteers actively make a difference around the world.
