Volunteer in Projects Abroad’s Newest Destination
The Philippines is the latest addition to the family of Projects Abroad destinations. Volunteer projects will begin in April 2013 and are perfect for anyone wanting a unique Asian experience whilst doing something worthwhile in a developing country.
The projects include medicine & healthcare placements as well as opportunities to work in schools, care centres and orphanages as part of a teaching or care project. Projects Abroad is based on Cebu Island, part of the Visayan Islands region and volunteers will live with local host families in Cebu City and its surrounding area.
The island offers endless white sandy beaches and clear seas with opportunities to dive or snorkel in your spare time. Additionally there is also the option of island hopping around the rest of the region, or even flying to the neighbouring countries of Thailand, Vietnam or Indonesia.
Cebu City itself is a lively and exciting place to discover with vibrant local markets, modern shopping malls and regular street parades. Whether you are on a gap year, a career break or are simply looking for a summer adventure then why not join a project in the Philippines and experience it for yourself!
