Male volunteers meet school children at their new building on the Disaster Relief project in Nepal

Taking part in our Building project in Nepal is a great opportunity for volunteers to make a meaningful contribution to communities affected by the devastating earthquakes in April 2015.

Thousands of classrooms were destroyed in the earthquake, and our main focus has been on rebuilding damaged schools so that children are able to return to their education and learn in a safe environment.

As a volunteer, you will work in a group under the supervision of a civil engineer and a skilled mason, helping to mix cement, paint and dig trenches. Your efforts will build on the incredible progress that has been made by previous volunteers, and make a real difference in a community that needs help.

Volunteers joining this placement will stay in a hotel. Evenings are set aside for cultural or leisure activities organised by our local staff. On the weekend, volunteers can enjoy a planned trip to Chitwan National Park, a World Heritage Site and the first national park in Nepal.

This placement is fully researched, safety audited and risk assessed in accordance with the British Standard BS8848 for the Adventure Travel Sector.
