Thailand: 1 Week Conservation Add-On
Many volunteers taking part in non-Conservation placements in Thailand are interested in the chance to also spend a few days working on the Conservation project. This offers a unique chance to experience the natural environment and participate in important conservation activities. This week-long project can only be done in combination with one of our other Thailand projects.
We are now able to offer all volunteers in Thailand the opportunity to add a 1 Week Conservation Add-On to the end of their main placement. This project can be arranged to fit in with the end of your main project and will give you a full week working on the conservation project and the chance to become involved in a range of conservation work.
Conservation volunteers are based near Ao Nang, about 20 minutes outside Krabi town.
Volunteers need to arrive on a Sunday. On arrival volunteers will be given a full introduction to the current projects; you will then spend the week learning to dive and taking part in the land based activities on the project site and surrounding area. We aim for all 1 week volunteers to complete their Open Water or Advanced PADI qualifications, but this is weather dependent.
The cost of this programme includes food and accommodation for the week, insurance and all work related transport.
To add this project to your time in Thailand, please contact your local recruitment office before you go or speak to a member of our staff in Thailand.
This placement is fully researched, safety audited and risk assessed in accordance with the British Standard BS8848 for the Adventure Travel Sector.
