Projects Abroad in Bolivia - Arrival Procedure in Cochabamba
"I met so many amazing people in Bolivia. They're really friendly and want to show you everything and take you everywhere"

When you arrive at Cochabamba Airport, you will be met by a member of our Projects Abroad Bolivia team. It's a small airport, and once you've collected your luggage and gone through immigration, look out for the Projects Abroad sign.
Volunteering in Bolivia: Orientation and Induction
Daniela Viljoen, our Director for Bolivia, or one of our other staff members will introduce you to Cochabamba, showing you where to find an internet café, how to phone home, where to catch a bus or a taxi from, and how to locate the Projects Abroad Bolivia office.
You will then have some time to relax with your host family who will be keen to settle you in and make you feel at home. Usually on the following day a member of staff will take you to work to introduce you to your project supervisor and you will finalise your timetable. Most volunteers have a short 10 minute bus journey to work; please note that you will need to cover the cost of the bus, which on average should be less than £1 per day.
If you have any questions or problems, Daniela and her team are on the end of the phone 24 hours a day, or you can call into the office during office hours. The Projects Abroad staff also e-mails out a regular newsletter to help you and the other volunteers keep in touch and to advertise any activities going on in the coming weeks.
