Projects Abroad have been invited to send volunteers to Jerusalem!
The idea would be for volunteers to teach and look after children in Arab East Jerusalem. They would teach English in schools and take care of children in day centres in the Palestinian part of the city. Apparently in the summer there is the option to work in olive fields.
Projects Abroad Director, Peter Slowe, says "We're not committing to this at the moment, but we'll be glad to hear from anyone interested in Israel-Palestine as a destination. We were very pleased to be asked to do this by the Volunteering Department of Jerusalem Municipality which represents both Jews and Arabs in the Holy City and by Agricultural Access, an interfaith group."
