Charity Ball goes with a swing!

Ruth & friends

Projects Abroad former volunteer, Ruth Charlton, would like to thank everyone who came along to the Refihlile School Trust Charity Ball back in November.

Ruth says," Thank you for making it such a great party and for helping to raise a fantastic £1170.63 for the children of Refihlile School, South Africa.

Partygoers

"This was much more than I'd even hoped for and it will all go directly towards our plans to take the children on a trip of a lifetime to the seaside next Easter. Each of the volunteers involved in the trip will be supporting themselves and so this is over half of the total that we need for the children."

Ruth sold around 150 tickets to friends, family and former volunteers who have been impacted by Projects Abroad and Refihlile School (a small under-funded farm school in South Africa) or to those who simply wanted a good night out!

Jazzbomb

The Ball went with a swing with live music from the incredible band, Jazzbomb, who's repertoire (ranging from numbers from the Brat Pack to Jungle Book!) got absolutely everybody dancing.

Watch this space for news from the trip itself at Easter..
