Christmas (and Boxing day!) comes early in Ghana

Presentation ceremony

Dorrie Oliver, a teaching volunteer in Ghana last year, recently sent her school in the Akuapem Hills a present, which impacted not only her school but others in the area.

Dorrie's school – Young Soul's Academy, and two other local schools – Holy Hills School and Apostolic School were the recipient of seven huge boxes of books, computer equipment and toys, all donated by Dorrie's family and friends back in England.

The presentation of equipment was warmly received by both staff and excited pupils at all the schools. At Young Souls School Principal, Mr Assave, spoke warmly of Dorrie and thanked our Deputy Director, Tom Davis, and our Regional Coordinator, Emmanuel Abaaja, for their help in delivering such wonderful and useful gifts.
