Role: To ensure the smooth running of the arrangement of your placement, from receiving applications to arranging visas, flights and insurance.
Global Administration
![]() | Chinnasamy Rajendran - Head of Administration Rajendran combines working as the India Country Director and the head of our administration team based in India. Rajendran met Peter Slowe whilst a young teacher in Kashmir. Twenty years later as the Deputy Head of a big school in Tamil Nadu he took responsibility for some Projects Abroad volunteers. Now our India office is one of the biggest in the world. |
![]() | Otgonbayar Togtuuny - Director of Finance Oko is both the Director of our projects in Mongolia and the Director of Finance. Oko has spent time working in Korea and the UK. He now enjoys living back in Ulaanbaatar with his wife and two children. Having studied for his MBA in Korea, he returned home to Mongolia with his Korean wife, Sang Em. He enjoys singing and is famed for his karaoke skills. He is also the current holder of the Projects Abroad poker championship. |
![]() | Szilard Gyorgy - Senior IT Manager Szilard joined Projects Abroad in 2003. He also manages the Romanian IT team and is primarily responsible for developing and managing our online database system and computer network worldwide. |
![]() | Arthur Radulescu - SEO Manager Arthur joined Projects Abroad in September 2005. He is responsible for developing and managing optimization for our websites, as well responsible for all text changes within our websites. He enjoys spending his free time climbing mountains, playing the guitar and swimming. |
![]() | Ciprian Radu - Head of Programming Department Ciprian joined Projects Abroad in April 2006. He is responsible for maintaining our online database and creating our new operational system. He enjoys playing pool and swimming. He also loves Parkour. |
![]() | Lucian Arion - Senior Web Designer/Developer Lucian is based in our IT Office in Brasov, Romania and is responsible for developing our websites. Since he joined Projects Abroad in February 2005 he is constantly trying to improve our flow of information using IT and maintain our websites to the latest standards. He is addicted to trance music and enjoys spending time with his beautiful girlfriend Elena Loredana. |
![]() | Gabriela Bartalis - Web Designer Gabi joined Projects Abroad in February 2006. She is responsible for our project websites and assists Lucian with web design and publicity material. She enjoys spending time with her two "boys": Fery (her husband) and her dear, special son Francisc. |
![]() | Loredana Teiu - Web editor Loredana joined Projects Abroad in July 2006. She assists Arthur with text changes and updates to our websites. Her hobbies are computers, listening to music and nature. |
![]() | Ovidiu Curcan - PHP Programmer Ovidiu joined Projects Abroad in April 2007. He is responsible for maintaining and developing our online database system. He enjoys studying arcane programming languages (Haskell, anyone?), algorithms and networking (pursuing CCNA and CCNP). |
![]() | Antonio Gallo - Design Team Manager Antonio is our lead designer. He is responsible for creating and maintaining our website and publicity material. |
![]() | Salvador Orozco (Chava) - Graphic Designer Chava is based in our Mexico office and assists Claudio and Tonio with web design and particularly enjoys developing new web technologies. Chava used to be part of the Mexico rollerblade team, but now likes calmer activities like spending time with his young daughter. |
![]() | Pabbu - Deputy Head of Administration Pabbu has been working for Projects Abroad since April 2002 after completing his degree in Computer Application. He combines his administration role with the position of India Desk Officer. |
![]() | Jeyakumar Alwarsamy - Administrator Jeyakumar answers volunteers' queries regarding visas. He has worked for Projects Abroad since May 2005. He enjoys reading newspapers, and watching both cricket and tennis. |
![]() | Venkatasubramanian Ramanathan - Administrator Venkat is responsible for carrying out amendments, answering insurance questions, checking references, checking payments and giving on-line solutions regarding volunteers' individual websites. He enjoys reading books about economics, finance, history and geography. |
![]() | Sriram Dinakarabose - Administrator Sriram joined Projects Abroad in April 2006. He processes arrival forms, pre-departure questionnaires, vegetarian forms and address information details. His hobby is reading. |
![]() | Sridhar Ponnusamy - Administrator Sridhar has been working in the administration team since May 2006 and helps to arrange volunteer travel arrangements. He previously working for a computer firm in Madurai and spent a year working in Sri Lanka. He likes playing cricket and listening to music. |
![]() | Senthilkumar Durairaj - Administrator Senthil's role includes processing volunteer certificates, assisting with the alumni system and managing the e-filing system. His hobbies are playing cricket and football, listening music and reading. |
![]() | Saravanan Murugaiah - Administrator Saravanan joined Projects Abroad in July 2005 and this is my first job. His role in the travel team is to send request to agents and check arrival details for volunteers. He also checks balances and sends out medical referral forms. He enjoys reading, spending time with friends and travelling. |
![]() | Ramchand Ravindran - Administrator Ramchand has been working with Projects Abroad since May 2006. He is responsible for processing applications. He likes reading novels, chatting, gardening and watching films. |
![]() | Kathiresan Arunachalam - Administrator Karthick joined Projects Abroad in April 2006. His role includes sending out invoices and checking balance payments. His hobbies are reading IT magazines and listening to music. |
![]() | Charlesprabhu Vetrirajan - Administrator Charles joined the Projects Abroad administrative team in May 2005. He answers volunteers' queries on visas and issues visa documents at the appropriate times. He also assists with invoices, checklists and application acceptances. He enjoys playing and watching cricket, listening to music, and watching films. |
![]() | Asirdevadasanraja Sam - Administrator Before joining Projects Abroad in May 2006 Asir worked as a social worker on an NGO AIDS Project. As an administrator he assists with e-filing, acceptances, programme summaries, travel arrangements and Open Day administration. |
![]() | Julius Swami Raj Raja Kumar - Administrator Working for Projects Abroad since May 2005, Julius' role in the travel team is to ensure that the correct flights are booked for volunteers who request them. His hobbies include environmental and development photography and documentation. He enjoys the company of his daughter and son at the weekends. |
![]() | Usukhjargal Zorigt (Usuhuu) - Finance Officer Usuhuu joined Projects Abroad Mongolia in May 2006 after graduating in International Business Administration from Ulaanbaatar University. She provides support to Oko in his role as Finance Director. Nobody has ever seen Usuhuu without a huge smile on her face. In her spare time she enjoys reading and she also sings in a band called "Wind". |
![]() | Munkhyuya Sodonotseren (Tuya) - Finance Officer Tuya became part of the Projects Abroad team in Mongolia in May 2006 after graduating from Ulaanbaatar University with a degree in International Business Management. She also provides support for Oko in his role as Finance Director, but often helps with volunteer's problems as well. In her spare time Tuya likes listening to music and playing volleyball. |
UK Administration
![]() | Abbey Hampton - UK Travel and Administration Manager Abbey makes sure that volunteers and staff arrive in the right place at the right time by ensuring co-ordination between our recruitment and administration offices, especially for international flights used by our volunteers and staff. Abbey also helps to run our general administration in the UK. |
![]() | Serena Mitchell - UK Company Accounts Manager Serena is responsible to the Director of Finance for managing financial matters in our organisation and ensuring each overseas programme is appropriately funded. |
![]() | Karen Slowe - Travel and Contracts Manager Karen has set-up, and now manages, our travel and human resource systems. |
![]() | Antony Squires - Administrator Antony is involved in all areas of general administration, with a particular emphasis on dealing with the initial stages of your application and chasing up visas. Outside of work he divides his time between his passions for cycling, music and darts. |
